Good morning, Londonderry Families and Staff:
This week, we met with Town voting officials and the Londonderry Police Department to discuss the larger projected voter turnout for the State General Election on Tuesday, November 3 and the associated traffic flow and potential back-ups on the Londonderry High School and Matthew Thornton campuses during arrival and dismissal. After looking at all of the factors with our community partners, it was determined that it was more prudent to move the Teacher Workshop Day scheduled for Wednesday, October 21 to Tuesday, November 3 to lessen the traffic around the voter polls at the LHS gym on Election Day. This change will make for a less disruptive school day at arrival and dismissal, and a smoother voting process for the community at large.
This change means there will be school for all students on Wednesday, October 21 and no school for students on Tuesday, November 3. Here is the Updated 2026-27 School Calendar to reflect this change.
