Press Release: New and Familiar Faces to Join Londonderry Admin Team

This Spring, a few of our schools and departments were busy interviewing candidates to fill vacancies in our administrative team for the 2024-25 school year. Several hiring committees met over the past few months, and Superintendent Black is pleased to announce the Londonderry School Board voted unanimously to approve the following outstanding new hires to start their roles as of July 1st.

First, Joe Parzych will begin his tenure as the Londonderry School District’s Director of Building and Grounds. Joe has been the Director of B & G in the Epping School District for the past few years; prior to that, he worked in the Nashua School District as the Manager of the Custodial Department and oversaw 13 buildings. Joe’s high energy, knowledge of many departments, and ability to build positive and effective relationships with the people in his department will be assets to Londonderry.

Kaitlin Burkhardt will be moving from her role as House Three / Adult Education School Counselor to the Director of School Counseling at Londonderry High School. Kaitlin is known to be a calm, creative, and hard working leader. Her knowledge of student supports, innovative ideas to help students plan for their futures, and compassion for all students will help our students grow and thrive.

Shawn Flynn, currently the LHS STEM Curriculum Coordinator, is ready to transition to South School as their new Assistant Principal this summer. South School is excited to have Shawn’s enthusiasm and experience in Londonderry to complete their administrative team. Flynn is looking forward to working more closely with students in his new role.

The school board approved two new Assistant Principals at Londonderry Middle School. We welcome John MacArthur, who has been the principal of a K to 8 school in Alton, NH for the last seven years. John is impressed by the educational experience Londonderry provides its students. He is excited to be part of the LMS team and share his strong instructional and cultural approach to leadership. Tim Westphal, who had a long tenure at Goffstown High School as the Social Studies Lead Teacher and Dean of Students and spent four years as an Assistant Principal in Franklin and at Hampton Academy (middle school), also joins the team. Tim brings a strong student centered approach and an expertise in discipline and curriculum to complete the LMS Building Leadership Team.

Superintendent Black notes of these new hires, “Hiring is the most important thing we do as a school system every spring, and I am really excited for the additions of Joe, John, and Tim to our team and family here in Londonderry. I am also glad that Kaitlin and Shawn are able to evolve their careers here in Londonderry and continue their good work.”
