Dear Londonderry Staff, Families, and Community:
The Londonderry School District is proud to host a “Meet the School Board Candidates” Event next Monday – February 20th from 4:30 to 5:30 in the LHS Cafeteria.
We have three candidates running for our two open School Board positions and we wanted to host an event to help all of the candidates get their message out to Londonderry on why they would be a great School Board candidate.
We are pleased to announce that all three candidates will be in attendance next week: Amy Finamore, Tim Porter, and Bob Slater.
Scott Spradling has agreed to be the moderator for the event.
This will not be a debate format, but we will give each of the candidates the opportunity to introduce and explain their candidacy to Londonderry. After each candidate gets the opportunity to introduce themselves, Scott will ask each of the candidates a series of questions to share their thinking and positions on the typical topics that any School Board member has to grapple with during their tenure – School District Policies, Budgets, Strategic Plans, Academic Programs and Co-Curricular programs to name a few.
We will be taping this event and making it available to the public on our YouTube Channel.
Our LHS National Honor Society Students can provide onsite childcare for any interested families. Please email Theresa Bertrand – tbertrand@londonderry.org if you will requesting childcare for this event.
We have been working with the Londonderry Educators Association as well as our PTAs to come up with a list of questions to get to know our candidates better. However, if there are questions the community at large wants asked, please fill out the Google Form below and the moderator will do their best to ask a range of questions for our candidates next week.
